all parts are from digikey, except the pcb's. you can order these from artengine: http://www.artengine.ca prices are in canadian dollars. each board is divided in seperate "blocks", so you can decide what you want. "Base" is always needed. altough the box _can_ be powered from the usb-port (but only +5volt), i _strongly_ suggest to _not_ do that. imagine: the box is hooked up on usb, and you try to connect a sensor and make a short.... that means, you shorten the power line from your usb bus. im pretty sure thats not what you want .... so i _urge_ you to also equip the "PowerSupply" block on the mainboard. the "MidiOut" section is not used for now. you can put parts in there if you want, it will be used with one of the next firmware versions. of course, if you dont need to send the box's data to a midi device directly, just leave out those parts. for the userboard, just putting the "Base" components in it wont give you much functionality, so you surely want to have the parts for the i/o blocks as well. up to 4 userboards can be connected to a mainboard. unfortunatly, digikey has not the required resistor network, so you have to either substitute them with single resistors (as listed in this partlist), or you need to get them at a different supply. the r-network ar 8x10k for RN1,2,3 on the main, and RN1,2 on the userboard. RN4 on the mainboard is 4x10k. all these networks have the common contact on pin1. internally they are wired as follow : +--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+ | | | | | | | | | R R R R R R R R | | | | | | | | | | 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 <-- pin-# same for the 4x10k network, but just with 4 r's inside...... if you want to save a few bucks, you can leave out all the ic-sockets (except for the 40-pin socket on the mainboard, and the 28 pin socket in the userboard, since they are for the microcontrollers, and thus the controllers should be removalble) the list below is: part-no n the pcb - number of parts, name - digikey part-# - price single - price of all Partlist multI/O Mainboard -------------------------- Base ---- @ Artengine - 1 * Mainboard PCB 20,00 20,00 IC 2 - 1 * PIC 16 C 765 PIC16C765/JW-ND 15,95 15,95 IC 1 - 1 * EEPROM 28C256 AT28C256-15PC-ND 6,17 6,17 U$ 1 - 1 * SRAM 61 256 - 15 (Narrow) (** digikey has that item no longer, i am looking for a replacement) IC 3,4,5,6 - 4 * 74 HC 245 N MM74HC245AN-ND 0,72 2,88 IC 7 - 1 * 74 HC 154 N MM74HC154N-ND 1,32 1,32 RN 1,2,3,4 R 2,3, - 30 * 10k 1/4W 10.0KXBK-ND 0,14 @ 5 min. 4,20 (** digikey does not have the resistor networks (RN) required, thus we have single R's here) R 13, 1 or R14 - 2 * 1k5 1/4W 1.50KXBK-ND 0,14 @ 5 min. 0,70 (** use position R1 for the pic 16c765, swap to R14 when the upgrade to the 18f4550 is available) C 20 - 1 * 0,47µ 399-2159-ND 0,52 0,52 C 1,2 - 2 * 22p 399-1890-ND 0,36 0,72 C 19 - 1 * 220n (0,22µ) 399-2157-ND 0,41 0,41 Q 1 - 1 * 6 MHz CTX026-ND 1,23 1,23 (** replace with a 24 MHz crystal for upgrading to the 18f4550) SV 3 - 1 * Pinhead 2*20, 90° S2111-20-ND 3,40 3,40 U$ 3 - 1 * pinhead 2*5, 90° S2111-05-ND 2,20 2,28 (below LSP1) - 1 * USB-B Socket WM17109-ND 2,51 2,51 @IC 2 - 1 * 40pin IC-Socket ED3740-ND 2,10 2,10 @IC 1 - 1 * 28pin IC-Socket wide w/C ED2107-ND 3,46 3,46 @U$ 1 - 1 * 28pin IC-Socket narrow ED3128-ND 1,46 1,46 @IC 7 - 1 * 24pin IC-Socket w/C ED2106-ND 2,90 2,90 @IC 3,4,5,6 - 4 * 20pin IC-Socket w/C ED2104-ND 2,54 10,16 MidiOut ------- X 2,3 - 2 * DIN 5p Socket (MIDI) CP-2350-ND 0,94 1,88 IC 11 - 1 * 74 HC 245 N MM74HC245AN-ND 0,72 0,72 @IC 11 - 1 * 20pin IC-Socket w/C ED2104-ND 2,54 2,54 Q 2,3 - 2 * BC 237 (BC 547) BC547BOS-ND 0,37 0,74 R 8,9,11,12 - 4 * 221R 1/4W 221XBK-ND 0,14 @ 5 min. 0,70 R 7,10 - 2 * 4k75 1/4W 4.75KXBK-ND 0,15 @ 5 min. 0,70 PowerSupply ----------- - 1 * Power Jack CP-102AH-ND 0,55 0,55 IC 8 - 1 * 7812 - 1,5 Amp 296-13998-5-ND 0,68 0,68 IC 9 - 1 * 7805 - 1 Amp LM7805CT-ND 0,69 0,69 IC 10 - 1 * 7912 - 1,5 Amp 497-1476-5-ND 0,85 0,85 R 4,5,6 - 3 * 0R47 2W P0.47W-2BK-ND 0,38 1,14 C 3,4 - 2 * 2200µ / 35V P5170-ND 1,71 3,42 C 5,6,7 - 3 * 1000µ / 16V P5142-ND 0,54 1,62 C 15,16,17 - 3 * 100µ / 16V P5138-ND 0,24 0,72 C 8,9,10,11,12, 13,14 - 7 * .01µ / 63V 495-1103-ND 0,23 1,61 D 1,2 - 2 * 1 N 5400 1N5400GICT-ND 0,42 0,84 SV 2 - 1 * pinhead 2*3 S2211-03-ND 2,00 2,00 Partlist multI/O Userboard -------------------------- Base ---- @ Artengine - 1 * Userboard PCB 20,00 20,00 SV 3 - 1 * Pinhead 2*20, 90° S2111-20-ND 3,40 3,40 U$ 76 - 1 * pinhead 2*5, 90° S2111-05-ND 2,20 2,28 IC 3 - 1 * 74 HC 42 N 296-8332-5-ND 0,98 0,98 @IC 3 - 1 * 16pin IC-Socket w/C ED2102-ND 2,26 2,26 AnalogueIn ---------- U$ 1,2 - 2 * TLC 2543 296-1816-5-ND 11,62 23,24 @U$ 1,2 - 2 * 20pin IC-Socket w/C ED2104-ND 2,54 5,08 SV 8,9 - 2 * conn 1*13 929850-01-13-ND 2,73 5,46 (** below the tlc2543's) AnalogueOut ----------- (on bottom) - 2 * TLV 5610 296-3038-5-ND 18,48 36,96 SV 10,11,12,13 - 4 * conn 1*5 929850-01-05-ND 2,13 8,52 DigiOut ------- IC 4 - 1 * 74 HC 259 N MM74HC259N-ND 0,78 0,78 @IC 4 - 1 * 16pin IC-Socket w/C ED2102-ND 2,26 2,26 IC 1,2 - 2 * 74 HC 273 N MM74HC273N-ND 0,72 1,44 @IC 1,2 - 2 * 20pin IC-Socket w/C ED2104-ND 2,54 5,08 SV 4,5 - 2 * conn 1*9 929850-01-09-ND 2,43 4,86 DigiIn ------ IC 7 - 1 * 74 HC 42 N 296-8332-5-ND 0,98 0,98 @IC 7 - 1 * 16pin IC-Socket w/C ED2102-ND 2,26 2,26 IC 5,6 - 2 * 74 HC 245 N MM74HC245AN-ND 0,72 1,44 @IC 5,6 - 2 * 20pin IC-Socket w/C ED2104-ND 2,54 5,08 RN 1,2 - 16 * 10k 1/4W 10.0KXBK-ND 0,14 @ 5 min. 2,24 (** should be resistor networks with 8 R's each, which digikey doesnt have) SV 6,7 - 2 * conn 1*9 929850-01-09-ND 2,43 4,86 UserInterface ------------- IC 10 - 1 * PIC 16 F 876 PIC16F876-20/SP-ND 10,64 10,64 @IC 10 - IC-Socket 28 pin ED3128-ND 1,42 1,42 IC 11 - 1 * MAX 232 MAX232CPE-ND 4,32 4,32 @IC 11 - IC-Socket 16 pin ED3116-ND 0,82 0,82 SV 17 - 1 * pinhead 1*5 929647-09-05-ND 2,17 2,17 SV 18+15 - 1 * pinhead 1*13 929647-09-13-ND 2,65 2,64 Q 1 - 1 * 20 MHz X036-ND 0,52 0,52 C 1,2 - 2 * 22p 399-1890-ND 0,36 0,72 C 3,4,5,6,7 - 5 * 1µ / 50V P5174-ND 0,20 1,00 X 2 - 1 * DBSUB 9 Fem.
